What is a Psychiatric Patient? A Common Sense Guide to Psychiatry – Part Three

Potentially anyone is a psychiatric patient, even YOU, because every aspect of human behavior is labeled by psychiatry as being a mental illness.A study of psychiatry’s diagnostic manual will confirm this for anyone who cares to look.

Examples of nuances of human behavior and the ups and downs of living re-categorized as an “illness” requiring treatment include:
- Seasonal Anxiety Disorder (feeling “blue” at Christmas).
- Dyspraxia (the tendency of children to be clumsy)
- Sexual Addiction (the tendency of some people to be sexually overactive or unethical)
- Depression (feeling down after a loss, redundancy and so on.)

You are mentally ill if a psychiatrist says you are mentally ill. All that is required for you to be labeled mentally ill is for a psychiatrist to give that opinion. He does not have to produce, and cannot produce, any scientifically proven yardstick or clear consistent definition of each so-called mental disorder. He cannot produce and is not required to produce any diagnostic criteria for adjudging that you have a disorder.

Psychiatrists are busy adding new “disorders” to their list as fast as they can dream them up.

Psychiatrists long ago discovered that they could dream up disorders at will without the need for any true science behind them and get away with it because there was in fact no independent body monitoring and scrutinizing their methods and ensuring they measured up to rigorous scientific standards. Psychiatry had been operating thus with impunity and was consequently thoroughly entrenched, for a hundred years before anyone had the wisdom to subject it to scrutiny and found its scientific credentials to be bogus. (I refer you to the history of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights).

Based on his “diagnosis” of your condition, the psychiatrist can then begin “treatment.” Such treatment nowadays usually involves the administering of powerful brain-altering drugs that do irreparable damage to the brain and nervous system and produce a slew of unpleasant side effects. Such treatment earns revenue for the psychiatrist. He cannot make money unless he diagnoses you as having an illness that must be treated.

If you refuse treatment? Well, that’s a disorder too, requiring treatment.

The psychiatrist can always force you to undergo treatment. He has the legal power to commit anyone for as long as he see fit, simply based upon his unsubstantiated diagnosis (opinion) that it is “for our own good.”

Once you have been labeled mentally ill, you surrender your liberties and human rights to the hands of psychiatry. Essentially you’ve had it.

What happens to a psychiatric patient?

When you become a psychiatric patient you are administered one or more of the following:
Drugs to produce a malleable, zombie-like condition
ECT: Electro Convulsive Therapy, to produce a malleable zombie-like condition
Lobotomy: to produce a malleable, zombie-like condition.

The disturbingly bizarre behavior we commonly see in psychiatric patients is almost always caused by the brain-damaging TREATMENT they have received in psychiatric hands and NOT an alleged mental illness.

More about these in my next articles, starting with “What Are Psychiatric Drugs?”

Get Rid of Fat in Your Thighs – How To Guide

To shed weight in your legs is a situation most women face at one time or another throughout our lives. Thankfully skinny Asian women have practiced straightforward and easy solutions to get thin thighs without living on a Stairmaster or going without food until we pass out!

Lose fat in Your Legs – How To Guide

1. Never lift weights, do squats, or walking lunges, these will in fact Expand the issue.

Part of the reason why Asian women are so impressive at getting “stick legs” is really because American health clubs and trainers are providing people with the wrong information regarding leg shaping.

The truth is that you do not want to do any sort of resistance training with your legs, particularly the powerful quad muscles that make up your thighs. Unless you would like to grow to be a power lifter these movements only serve to strengthen and build up muscle density in areas you don’t want it.

Instead you need to follow the Asian model to success: High repetition, low resistance.

To make it happen, pick either walking or biking, and do it three to five times a week on a Level surface. No slopes, no sprinting. Just a normal level of effort that you can maintain for a half hour without getting so tired you can’t proceed.

Try to do it for 30 minutes at a time and after a few weeks you’ll start to see your leg muscles actually thinning out, just like a marathon runner or a competitive bike-rider (ever see Lance Armstrong’s bird legs? Exactly!)

Please remember: No weights or unnatural resistance, just repetitive walking and/or biking.

2. Try to cut the salt out, water-retention is responsible for adding inches throughout your body.

Water retention is normally having to do with consuming too much salt or sodium, and since both are literally everywhere these days in ultra-high amounts you’re going to have to stay attentive to stay clear of them.

One gram of salt holds ten times its weight in water, consider that. If we want thinner legs we’re going to have to eliminate the salt, and drink lots of water. You got that right, the more water you drink the LESS water you retain, because your brain thinks you have plenty of water available so it’s not necessary to store any for a serious event.

Salt is on the no-no list, to mimic its flavor in your meals try using lemon juice. It’s an unexpected taste replacement and of course properly healthy.

A Guide to Shiatsu Massages

The Japanese shiatsu massages is a way to promote relaxation, but in reality shiatsu is a method of holistic bodywork. Shiatsu massages essentially use acupressure techniques which use the hands, thumbs, knees and even elbows. This technique got its roots from the Traditional Chinese medicines and acupressure theory. The main difference between acupuncture and acupressure is that while acupuncture uses very thin needles to relieve pain, acupressure uses the deep tissue pressure which affects the twelve pressure points and help in relieving pain. Oriental shiatsu has become very popular in China as well as Japan. Since it helps relax the body and rejuvenates the sprit, at least one member of the family in these countries learns the ancient shiatsu massage to help others. Though shiatsu doesn’t cure the disease itself, it definitely helps in relieving the pain and promotes general well-being.
Shiatsu techniques help by unblocking the meridian points which causes health problems by blocking the “chi”. Oriental medicine philosophy believes that unbalanced “chi” in the body causes all diseases and a shiatsu massage is the right way to harmonize and balance the chi in the body.
Shiatsu acupressure massage is similar to acupuncture and uses the same pressure points. It applies pressure on the twelve body meridians using fingers and thumbs. The pressure is applied soft but deep, even causing a little pain to the patient. The therapist must use all body pressure and channelize energy in to the patients, relieving aches and sore muscles. Whether it is severe headaches, backaches or aching knees, using this technique a therapist can alleviate pain in the whole body.
Zen shiatsu concentrates of using the power of meditation performed by therapists who strongly rely on the meditation techniques to understand the body, the power of chi and the meridians that control the entire body. These massages help calm down the body and soul, rejuvenating the spirit and promoting overall health and well being.
No matter which shiatsu massage you want to go for, it isn’t always possible to go to a therapist for a massage. Colorful bags and slick advertisements often confuse these customers while purchasing dog food in Sydney. However, the confusion can be easily eliminated by a careful study of dog/ cat food with respect to your pet. There are in fact a number of aspects attached with the selection of right dog/ cat food for your pet such as:

  • Your dog’s/ cat’s size
  • Breed of your dog/ cat
  • Your dog’s/ cat’s everyday activity level
  • Your dog’s/ cat’s life stage

Without considering these factors, you can not cater to your dog’s basic needs. Some of the leading names associated with dog food Sydney include eukanuba dog food, hills science diet dog food, royal canin dog food, eagle pack dog food, iams dog food, supercoat dog food and pedigree dog food. But for choosing the right dog food among them you need to consider the above given factors.

  • Size of your pet: Your dog’s size plays an important role in deciding the amount of advance dog food that should be fed to your pet. Usually good brands such as royal canin dog food and royal canin cat food contain feeding regulations and even the approximate amounts label is present on the bag. These labels are to guide you about the needs of your specific dog.
  • Breed of your dog: It is important to note that the specific nutritional requirements of dogs vary according to their breeds. Certain breeds require more nutrition than others in order to live the best possible lifestyle. Manufacturers of dog food Sydney are well-acquainted with such issues and to overcome such problems have started producing breed specific cat and dog food products.

Your Guide to Excellent Dental Health

At the dental practice of Dr. Bart Kreiner, DDS, all the staff are always at the forefront of dental research and use the latest methods and technology to help our patients’ achieve their desired smiles. Our philosophy is to raise the standard of dental care, not just meet it, which he does daily at Dr. Kreiner Family Dentistry, in Bel Air, Maryland. Dr. Kreiner talks about many aspects of dentistry of interest to his patients, from fixing a chipped tooth to whitening teeth to how gum disease can affect you during pregnancy. And whether you want to come in for a cleaning, consultation or receive a complete smile makeover, Dr. Kreiner Family Dentistry can help you.

  1. Even people who think they know a lot about dental health don’t know everything. Did you know that chewing ice is the biggest cause of chipped teeth? Or that eating cheddar cheese after ingesting sugar will decrease the likelihood of tooth decay? Yes, there are many facts every dental patient should know.
  2. You should tell your dentist of any change in your medical condition, and also tell him of any serious allergies or other issues. This is not just to protect your dentist, it is to protect yourself.
  3. We always make a dentist’s office clean and create a soothing dental environment for every patient. Sterilizing equipment is crucial when you are at the dentist’s office, and we do it properly. Nothing is reused that shouldn’t be, and people can rest assured that they are in a safe, sterile and caring environment which can raise the standard of dental care. Nobody should feel scared of the dentist, and the staff do all they can to make patients feel relaxed and comfortable. This includes not only a happy atmosphere, but also relaxing neck pillows, places to lie down, and TV programs and DVDs on tap.
  4. We often get children to behave at the dentist. Teaching children to learn to like and respect the dentist from an early age is important, and helping them to understand why a dental visit is vital to their health is the first step. Most children can learn to behave well at the dentist and not be scared in no time. The trick, first of all, is for the parents to set a good example. Then most children just need things explained to them carefully and patiently.
  5. Insurance providers often only prescribe the bare minimum. So if you want to get the best for your money, you may want to visit a dentist who will tell you what really needs to be done to your teeth and not only what the insurance companies will provide.
  6. Oraverse will allow patients to return to work soon after their dental procedure has been completed, as it counteracts the effect of the numbing process. It is not suitable for people who have had root canals or other more serious procedures, but good for those who only underwent a simple filling, for example.
  7. We use lasers to remove tooth decay. Lasers are very useful to get rid of simple tooth decay. They work quickly, the procedure is painless, and it is soothing and quiet for those who are scared of a dentist’s drill. Ask at your next visit if your dentist uses lasers.
  8. Everyone wants brighter and whiter teeth, and people are willing to pay a lot of money and make great efforts to get their gnashes looking good. But many folk don’t realize that you can potentially ruin a professional whitening job if you don’t know enough about the process. Don’t think that just because you have had your teeth whitened that they will stay that way forever. You need to do special things to keep them sparkling white, such as avoiding red wine and too much java.
  9. Every patient wants to know the benefits of dental bridges. Dental bridges are cemented in the mouth and are not intended to be removed, unless they need to be replaced. Most people adapt to them well, and before long, they feel like the real thing. Within just 48 hours, they can hardly remember that they have had a dental procedure.
    1. Dental bridge placement can be finished immediately if the treatment is planned properly. The advantage to having an immediate dental bridge replacement to the patient is aesthetics, as the patient would not be walking around with a hole where the tooth is missing. The other advantage is function. But for some reason, most dentists are not doing this as part of their routine.
    2. In real life, teeth are not perfectly white, and generally speaking, not perfectly straight. Many people dream of having perfectly straight and milk-white teeth. But if you have dentures made to look that way, unfortunately, the result is false-looking teeth. However, we can make natural-looking dentures for you.
    3. We also talk about the truth about tooth contouring. Tooth contouring is when minor adjustments are made to make a difference, usually in the way a tooth appears. However, it is not used often because it is rarely suitable for the majority of people. For example, tooth contouring is done to give a patient the appearance of having straighter teeth, without having to undergo the process of wearing braces.
    4. Sometimes a plain old dental x-ray is not enough, which is why Bart Kreiner Dentistry uses periapical x-rays, which show the entire tooth, including the root. It gives the dentist a better overall picture on what is actually happening inside the mouth.
    5. 14. A woman can increase her chance of getting gum disease while she is pregnant. Gum disease, or periodontal disease can affect the unborn child, lead to low birth weight and even premature birth, and severe periodontal disease can even cause low birth rate in the child.
    6. 15. Neuromuscular dentistry relates to teeth involvement of the muscle structure with the bone and the joints. Neuromuscular dentistry presents unique challenges to a dentist, and can be difficult yet rewarding. Sometimes it has to do with TMJ disorders; other times it is because of a nerve conditions such as Bell’s palsy.
    7. Dentists have many ways to fix a chipped tooth, sometimes as easy as using a composite resin to make it look and perform better. And it only takes a few minutes to make your fixed teeth last a decade.
    8. We use Shadevision for tooth color matching. Teeth actually have a variety of colors, so it’s important to make the replaced teeth match the other teeth in color as closely as possible. It’s now a lot easier to make resin or prosthetics that accurately match the shade of your teeth, thanks to a revolutionary computer color matching program.

The Simple Diet Guide, is it a Scam Or the Real Deal?

      SimpleDietGuide, Does it work?

So you’ve heard about the new weight loss program that everybody is shouting about, right? And you want to know what all the fuss is about, and most of all – does it actually work or is it just another scam? Well let me introduce myself first. My name is William Messruther and I am an experienced dieting consultant. I have been studying and working in this field for 6 years now. In particular I spend most of my time studying the latest fad diets and wether or not they actually work, followed by the effects they can have on people. So now you know a little about me, lets get back to the point of this article already!

I have received a lot of emails recently from people asking about this diet program called The Simple Diet Guide, so I thought it was about time I checked this one out. At first I thought, “Oh here we go, yet another money making machine on the loose trying to scam people out of their hard earned pennies!”, but to my amazement this was actually not the case!

The Simple Diet Guide offers two packages, gold and platinum – both of which are reasonably priced. For my studies I went with the Platinum package to see everything they have to offer. Upon signing up and logging in, things are looking good already! The members area is nice and bold and has 6 main features which comprise of; a downloadable PDF which is the actual 60 page Dieting Guide, a Lifestyle Questionnaire, a Diet Generator, a Calorie Diary, a Printable Recipe Section, and a Community Forum.

The main thing I want to talk about is the Diet Guide they offer. I have read this from top to bottom and I can tell you that this is the real deal, seemingly written by professionals. Very simple to understand, it tells you everything that you NEED to know about the Metabolism, Calories, Anabolism and Catabolism, GI Index, Nutrition and Food Types, Hydration, BMI, Methods to follow, Money saving tips and more. Now that may seem a bit of gobbledy-gook to you, but they have managed to keep it short and simple, while still giving you adequate information.

The rest of the site features also managed to impress me and I will briefly take you over my findings now. The lifestyle questionnaire is designed to get info about your personal health situation and the team use this in order to give you personal advice on what you can do to improve you quest in weight loss. The Diet Generator was fantastic and allows you to tell it what food you like and dislike, then transforms this information into a 2 week eating plan! The calorie Diary lets you keep track of your daily calorie intake, and the Recipe section is full of exciting recipes to try. The forum was a good community full of people with the same goals who where sharing their experiences and achievements.

So as you may have gathered already, I was very impressed with this package as a whole and will most certainly be recommending it to future clients. There are many sites out there that claim to help you lose weight, but I can tell you from my knowledge that most are scams, and a lot are very unhealthy. The Simple Diet Guide is none of these and it is definitely worth the small investment as they claim, and I back them up on the fact that you WILL lose weight if you stick to this plan.
